One more day

I got a fever and not even more cowbell can fix it.

And pictures like this just shoot the temperature up.

One more day until the Sharks open at home and I can finally watch some hockey that I care about. See, since I haven’t been able to watch the Sharks play yet this season, (read this to find out why, if you care,) I have been watching other teams play mostly because I just want to see some hockey. It is hard, however, to really feel invested in the games. I’ve watched games featuring the Flyers, the Capitals, The Penguins, the Sabers, and the Blackhawks, and I didn’t care about any of them. Well, I did kind of care about the game between Buffalo and Chicago because I hate the Hawks. It’s that whole “I love the Sharks” thing. And that Buffalo v Chicago match started off a good one, with the Sabers scoring within the first 16 seconds and then again not too much later to take a 2-0 lead.

Needless to say, I was happy. But then things fell apart and Chicago went on to win it by a final score of more than Buffalo.

The point is, these games, while satiating my desire to watch hockey, do nothing to satisfy my thirst for Sharks hockey–the best hockey around. For that I still have to wait 35 hours or so. It’s going to be a long day and half.

I have a fondness for Buffalo as they are the red-headed step-child Canadian team 😉

Glad you’ll be able to see your Sharks play soon!

    • I have a fondness for Buffalo (that maybe I should have addressed in the post) because Mike Grier plays for them and I just love that guy.
Beyond that, thanks for reading and putting up with my Sharks obsession as I know we are mortal hockey enemies 🙂
